Vitamin A

Vitamin A is a compounds that help us boost our immune system by creating white blood cells, helps keep the linings of the lungs, eyes, bowel and bladder healthy and also plays a part in repelling bacteria from our skin. There are two types of vitamin A. Provitamin A carotenoid is found in colourful fruits and veg like carrots. Vitamin A that comes from animals is called preformed vitamin A retanoid and it is more readily absorbed into the body than vitamin A from vegetables. Milk and Liver contain large amounts of vitamin A.
