The step 2 Nicorette patch should be used as part of a 12 week course of smoking cessation. The course is suitable for those smoking over 10 cigarettes a day.
This course will wean you off nicotine. These week 2 10mg patches are used daily for 2 weeks, then the 5mg patches daily for two weeks. You must have completed week 1 of this course in order for these week 2 patches to be effective.
You apply the patch to an area of clean skin in the morning, and then take it off 16 hours later as you are going to bed.
